Washington, D.C. (December 18, 2009) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today released recent polling conducted in Colorado concerning the Employee ‘Forced’ Choice Act (EFCA) and the results were unequivocal and overwhelming: voters reject EFCA in any form, oppose candidates who support the job-killing bill, and will not endorse any form of the legislation moving forward in the U.S. Senate.
“Today, we offer Senator Michael Bennet more proof that the Employee ‘Forced’ Choice Act is unacceptable to his constituents. He faces a simple choice: stand with the people of Colorado or side with Big Labor bosses in Washington, D.C.,” said Katie Packer, executive director of the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). “Not only do voters in Colorado reject EFCA as it is written, they oppose any iteration of the legislation that forces unionization on small businesses and workers. During this difficult economic time, Coloradoans understand the Employee ‘Forced’ Choice Act will result in massive job loss and increased unemployment, the only question is whether their elected representative will stand up for them.”
